Flat Track Open Practice @ BMC Grounds
Aug 5 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Come Ride an Open Practice Under the Lights!

Since we aren’t hosting The WarmUp Race, we invite you all to come to an Open Paid Practice Saturday Night from 7-10PM, on the BMC 3/8 mile Flat Track. If you are attending the Friday night race, stick around and get some extra practice in, on the next night.

Rider fee only, at Saturday night’s practice. Any rider welcome. Bring out your family and friends to watch for free.

The Track will be fully-prepped, lights on, and the Practice Fee has been decided to be around $20, to pay for track prep and an Ambulance standing by. There will be a ref lining up bike classes, and flaggers for safety. All rider levels and bike sizes welcome. Great opportunity for begginers, intermediate and pros.

This is the perfect time to have fun and work on those sliding turns on a prepped track under the lights.

The Gate and Rider Pits will open up at 5PM. You’ll need to sign up for practice and pay at the Announcer Tower.

Contact the Promoter with any questions, and be sure to thank Nick Gabel when you see him, as he is volunteering his time for you all.

Competitor Sign Up Online and Information

A Word Of Caution: We know how many of you competitors want to ride this event. If you have just started riding motorcycles, this is not a race for begginers. If you don’t know simple rules of racing such as “picking a line,” and flags, you could endanger yourself and some of the riders that have been racing for years. Getting in the way of someone jumping because you’ve moved into someone else’s line could end up in a disaster. Supercross requires knowledge and safety.

bmc-sponsor-square-Tractor-and-EquipmentPractice is Tuesday from 10AM-2PM

A Pro Purse of $13,500 is expected for this event! This year proves to be exciting once again, with a new track layout designed and built from the latest features from Pro Circuit courses.

Main Event: Saturday: 1 PM – 10:30 PM

Pre event Trophy Hill Climb (8AM at the Main Trailer)

Side-by-Side Under the Lights racing after the Championship Runs

This is a single day of Hill Climbing at BMC. Watch local, Regional and National riders battle it up our Nightmare Hill, which consists of a 2-phase course: first up a steep run with a vertical ledge, then on to the upper mine field roller section to the finish.

This hill challenges pro riders, and spectators enjoy a great show into the night with riding under the lights.

Pre-Party at the Powderhorn Lounge Friday, August 25th

Powderhorn Lounge BillingsPre-Climb get together Friday the 25th at the Powderhorn Lounge. There will be a Calcutta and Free giveaways starting at 7:00 pm, this is always a good time, bring your friends and family.

The term “Calcutta” describes a type of auction-pool wagering that can be applied to our Hill Climb. In golf, a Calcutta is most common at a tournament featuring 4-person teams. In simplest terms, a golf Calcutta works like this:

  • Hill Climb spectators or riders bid, auction style, on a Hill Climb multiple rider team they think will win / be at the top of the Championship
  • Highest bid on the team wins (the highest bidder now “bought” the team for the event)
  • All the money raised through the “auction” goes into the pot.
  • At the end of the tournament, those who “won” the team that then won the tournament get a predetermined payout from the auction pool

Spectators

  • Adults $10, Kids 10 and under Free. Competitor Fees separate.
  • Plenty of parking and a variety of concessions are available and family picnics / tail gates are encouraged
  • Bring your coolers, lawn chairs, canopies, tarp covers, toy haulers, campers, trailers, tailgate set-ups and other outdoor supplies for a wonderful weekend of watching.

4-Hour Marathon Cross Country @ BMC Grounds
Oct 1 @ 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

The BMC Four-Hour Cross Country Marathon is exactly what it sounds like … a non-stop four hour endurance race with rider teams of two, with each rider completing two laps before the rider change. The Four-hour marathon race currently takes advantage of a large portion of the 1,421 acre space using the Motocross Track, the Endurocross Track and miles of wild bad lands terrain to hold a challenging race for the pros and an appropriate version for youth riders. In addition to sage brush side-hilling, single tracks, deep coulees, winding uphill shots, wide sweepers, snaking-through-the-trees lines, and rocky rooty sections, this cross country course is a great ride. Competitors pull the trigger and spectators enjoy a family picnic style day, with wide a variety of viewing locations at an awesome Autumn BMC moto event.
